Reflecting on the project, we would have loved to have started experimenting with different types of insulation a little bit sooner-- but we are thrilled at the success that we experienced. Our model has allowed for cleanliness and mobility, and we feel that this work has only just begun. The idea of having ease of ability to clean and move the actual cooking pot was our goal, and we achieved just that. We are sure that there are many possible improvements to be made, but with the short amount of time we had, we feel that we came a long way. Essentially, this allows the ISEC to be a sort of stationary stove, similar to the way we use our stovetops at our homes.
An example of another improvement that we would have liked to explore is making a more universal nesting plate. This way, you may use the ISEC with any shape of pot or pan, and not be forced to use the corresponding pot!
We hope that the progress we made can be used to further improve this technology, and are very optimistic for the future!
